"And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer." - F. Scott Fitzgerald

June 8 Storytime

Jane Sutton

Join us on Saturday, June 8 at 10:30am for a special storytime with author Jane Sutton.

Jane Sutton

I am the author of 11 books including the picture books Don't Call Me Sidney, What's Up with This Chicken, The Trouble with Cauliflower and Paulie's Passover Predicament.

I liked to write as soon as I learned the alphabet. I loved school assignments like “Write a Story Using All the Spelling Words.” In high school I was an editor of the school paper. Later, I had jobs as a newspaper reporter, an advertising writer, and a creative writing teacher. Besides writing books, I have written stories for children’s magazines. Now I teach a community education class about writing for kids. As a writing tutor, I help students from elementary school through college write clearly.

I live in Lexington, MA with my husband Alan. Our two grown up children live close by with their families and our three grandchildren! I like to laugh, ride my bike, watch the Red Sox play baseball, do crossword puzzles, travel, and dance and sing along to rock music. Oh, and I love to write and to talk to groups of all ages about writing.
