I found this book fascinating. I highly recommend listening to the audio version, especially if you are a fan of podcasts. Gladwell narrates the book with a theme song and soundtrack to keep tempo. Transcripts of interviews, court cases and live recordings are interspersed throughout. Talking to Strangers is an in depth look at how our communication skills are constantly failing us as we interact with people we don’t know. It is full of case studies and real life examples (from Hitler to Jerry Sandusky to Amanda Knox) of what happens when we assume to know people by their reactions, expressions or our biased perceptions.
