If you are a fan of psychological thrillers, put the Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides on your list.  And even if you're not a big fan, give this one a try. This book could be devoured in one sitting if you have the time. From the start, we know a few things about Alice Berenson: 1) She is a renowned artist 2) She is profoundly in love with her husband and 3) One evening she kills her husband in cold blood and then never speaks again. The only clue she leaves behind is a  self portrait.. I found the story to be totally unpredictable yet totally plausible.  Michaelides scatters subtle clues throughout the book and with the help of  an unreliable narrator, lets you make assumptions that will leave you guessing right up until the end.  A perfect book to curl up with on a chilly evening.
