With a week to go in seventh grade, Dorothy "Dot" Shortway can practically taste summer vacation. Sleepovers with her best friend, lazy days at the pond, and nothing on the calendar are just what she needs to recover from the middle school grind.
But when she comes home to a giant RV in the driveway, it's clear that her parents have other plans.
Dragged unhappily to a campground in Maine, Dot and her little brother, Paul, are let off the leash and left to find their own fun. Before they know it, they're surrounded by new friends and powers they can't explain. The combination just might be what they need to solve the case of the missing fisherman in Maine.
