I'm always excited when a book that I'm excited about gets picked up to become a movie, and I'm thrilled that Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney has been chosen by Ellen DeGeneres, Warner Brother Pictures and Sarah Michelle Gellar to get the big screen treatment.
This book has everything that I look for in a thriller: twists, turns, surprises and an ending that was so shocking, I had to reread it three times to make sure I had it right. There is nothing in this book that is predictable and I literally could not put it down. In fact I chose reading this book over receiving spa treatments when I was in the spa. The book is described with this quick blurb:
My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.
I mean, could there be a better description? No? I concur. Read it before the movie comes out and then we can take a field trip to the movies together.
